Melody for the Goddess of the Sea
To breathe the brittle sting of her brine
Infused with rosemary and lilac currents
As she perspires through pores in her fluid skin
Her fragrance draws me closer
To hear the rhythm of waves polish the shore
Harmonies of turning song reaching from her depths
Resounding in cerulean overtones
Her songs sing me hollow
To gaze upon her diamond waters at the height of day
Dazzling shades of peach and daisy dancing in each cut
Carved by the occasional arc of a leaping brass body
Her gaze strips me bare
To feel the might of her rocking waves at high tide
Her cool fingers running through my copper hair
Pulling me into her effortless embrace
Her kiss brushes the dirt from my toes
To taste her brackish honey on my tongue
Pouring into my being, our sinews entwined
The salt of her dripping down my aching back
I bathe in the tender waters of twilight while she watches me through garnet eyes
